I had a few months this last summer where I would wander Facebook and see these live “Pearl Parties” and they were just fascinating to me. Pretty pearls being pulled out of shells, measured and bragged about, their worth being declared anywhere from $50-$100! Neat! I was tempted, oh so tempted to watch someone open a pearl for me, and for only $25! Then my ever logical, thrifty mind kicked in, and I started investigating these companies and parties. So the worth of the pearls is made up by the companies. Hmm. The jewelry is very cheap. Hmmm. People have taken their pearls to get appraised at jewelers and been laughed at. Extra hmmmm.
So then I decided to just Google a bit further and discovered sellers like this marvelous one right here! TEN shells for me to open! TEN pearls for me to have! Less than $20 for THAT? Sign me up!
Opening them is a hoot, especially with children, who are endlessly fascinated by the process, and it is a good learning experience for them, explaining how and why we culture pearls. Cages and charms you can find cheap here on Amazon as well, without “limited edition” designs that are just there to tempt you to waste your money. And the pearls are beautiful, colorful, solid, and prettier than any that I saw on a pearl party.
I believe these are freshwater cultured pearls, raised in colored water, as they are beautifully round and bright in color. Not every pearl is going to be a perfect surface, these are somewhat made by nature, even as cultured pearls, so some are going to have a little bit of imperfections. But they are well worth the money, the fun of opening them, and the smug satisfaction of knowing you didn’t pay an arm and a leg for them. They make excellent gifts, just put one single, individually sealed (they come each one sealed in its own bag) into a gift bag with a cage charm and a card, and watch your friends eyes light up at such a unique gift!

I have ordered over 3000 plus if not more oysters from this man..
Common knowledge do better research y'all before complaining!
1. Pearls are NOT 100% ROUND
2. colors may vary in person and in photo (called different lighting) and no pearl is exactly the same.
3. If using a micrometer yes it will be under 7 if you use a stone measure tool they go by .5 mm and up. I have gotten over 7 pearls size 9.5 mm and up. Dont be so crucial...
4. Oysters are hard to open.. Common sense
5. Freshwater cultured pearls are dyed hense why they are inexpensive..
