CAUTION: I don't know if it's just me, but I am highly allergic to either the material or whatever it's treated with- had to go get a cortisone shot. Now work in gloves and long sleeves.

I soaked this reed in a bucket of water for about and hour. It was extremely flexible and very easy to work with. I had no breakage. I used it to repair and old set of wicker (rattan) furniture. Mainly to rewrap the legs with the old reed came off. I was very happy with this product.
