<<<<@>>>> Used mine for the second time today to clean all the brushes I use on a daily basis. First time, I only cleaned two brushes to see how it worked. I love the time saved by using this. I only found two issues with it, but not enough to give less than five stars. The first, waterproof make up, concealers, heavy products like that, the brush has to be either be pre-soaked or washed a few times. And the second, it isn't for use with double ended brushes. The rubber bushing will mess up the bristles or won't go over the second brush head. Seeing as I only have a few double ended brushes, this doesn't bother me at all. I can wash those by hand really quick. Make sure you have a hold on the bowl when you take the top gasket off of it (water won't fully clean out otherwise) it will cause a mess all over your vanity, lol. I can't see myself using anything but this (with the rare exception) from here on out. I bought a second one for my sister in law and can't wait for her to try it.
<<<<@>>>> 1) The volume of some of the sounds could stand to have a wider range, particularly on the lower end. For example, the white noise sound is quite loud, even on the lowest volume setting. We have it dialed all the way down and it's passable but still almost too loud.
2) The ability to program sounds and lights is a great feature, but it would be nice to be able to start a program on demand instead of only at a pre-set time. For example, we have our "overnight" program set to begin at 9 p.m. and end at 6:30 a.m., but sometimes our little one goes to bed a few minutes before or after 9:00. It would be nice to be able to start the overnight program with the push of a button at, say, 9:08 and have it still end at 6:30 a.m.
3) As I mentioned above, this machine is controllable via a phone app via Bluetooth, not WiFi. On the plus side, this means you don't have to plug anything into your router, and the connection is very easy to make. On the minus side, only one phone can control it at a given time. My wife and I both have the app on our phones, and if we are both close to the machine one of us might have to close the app for the other to use it. Also, because Bluetooth has a relatively short range, you may not be able to control this machine from more than a room or two away. Then again, this is a night light, not a baby monitor, so the "need" to connect to it from the other end of the house is not as great.
I'm very happy with this purchase and would certainly purchase it again!
I bought this in March - the first unit I received was DOA. The lights lit up but the motor didn't spin. I reported it to the company and immediately got a replacement. Thumbs up on customer service. Once I started using it - it worked great, brushes got clean, no issues. I used it about once a week and clean 5-6 brushes. Today I started my ritual and on the 3rd brush the motor stopped. I took the brush and rubber collar off the unit and noticed an extra red button glowing. I realized pretty quickly that it was not an extra red button, it was burning on the inside. The plastic melted and smoked and then thankfully went out. No idea what happened - but pretty sure 6 months of moderate use should not have resulted in that...
